The Launceston Bridge Programs provides a professional, accessible, assessment and treatment and ongoing support service to individuals requiring assistance because of their use of addictive substances. (and associated issues). To reduce the associated harms to the individual, significant others and the broader community, that is: service provision is based on a harm minimisation philosophy. We operate a Day Program which is State-wide. It is an eight week program for alcohol and other drug users in the community. It is designed to decrease the impact of alcohol and other drug use in participant’s lives. It operates weekdays utilising Smart Recovery material.
We also have an After Care program package which provides on-going care for people who have completed the residential and day programs. This care can be up to 12 months, and encourages independence and community reintegration.
The Outreach program offers a confidential alcohol and other drug support service. This ‘through care’ service includes counselling, case management, practical and relevant harm minimisation strategies, support for families and referrals to other services.
There is also a Residential Rehabilitation program in both Ulverstone and Hobart and the Bridge detox in Hobart.
